Navigate in to Autumn/Winter

The cooler weather is going to bring a really diverse season. We still have the current shapes prominent that we have been wearing throughout summer - beautiful dresses, stylish shifts, high waisted jeans... hence the transition should be fairly easy, just try layering.

For winter, designers have opted for a mix of Street and Folk references. There is a trend towards Global influences. You will be seeing frocks embellished with jewels, Peruvian style scarves and bags trimmed with beads and gypsy coins, Kimono style dresses and tops with ethnic prints, embroidered shirts, lots of Folkloric fabrics and Batik prints.

There is also a push towards very clean and sharp lines. Think wide legged, man style, tailored pants with a crisp shirt and vest or fitting jacket or trench. The easier way to wear this look is with a high waisted, vintage looking pair of jeans, with a groovy tee or gorgeous embroidered shirt.

For the boys finally the collared shirt has made a return. This comes through in many shapes and forms - western, vintage, tailored and flano's! You can never go wrong with a cool tee. There has been a trend towards a V neck or oversized long tee however anything goes in this department. Jeans are still coming through quite narrow however it doesn't mean you gotta wear them that way... choose a style that suits you as there are many fits to choose from - slouch, straight, boot cut, easy fit and the skinny chicken.

Grab yourself a hoody or a more tailored jacket to keep you warm. Trenches are popular again!

Finally the most complimentary you can be to yourself is to be an individualist. Pick and choose key pieces from these trends and accommodate them to suit your style, body shape and of course budget!

Summers gone!

Summers gone....Winters here.... Which you guessed it, means that the first lot of Summer stock is hitting the shelves!

I know it gets a little confusing that we have to buy clothes in the opposite seasons but we are all just going to have to embrace it and go with it as its always been that way and maybe that another reason that layby was invented! Its a bloody good excuse either way.....

The beauty of fashion at the moment is there actually isnt a huge difference in Summer verses Winter clothing as its such a layer season. Hence it should not matter at all that we all sold out of jumpers, coats and gloves and its only just got cold and that all the gorgeous summer frocks are starting to arrive. All you need to do is swap your thongs for boots, throw on a pair of leggings or tights, put on a skivvy, add a scarf and hat and ....Viola...Your set for the cold!

New Autumn Threads

March 2007

Well we are well and truley underway into 2007.....dosn't time fly when your having fun!

As the cooler months approach us, the shelves at Ramjet are already jam packed with new Autum threads.......There has been a great response to this seasons fashion and I must admit that Im lovin it too!

For the girls you will find cute, Retro shift dresses, bold printed fabrics, wider legged pants( woohoo, we don't all look fab in skinny legs) oversized knit dresses and jumpers as well as lots more fun stuff.

For you boys the V neck tee is still going strong and in fact the V is actually getting lower so don't be scared...us ladies don't actually mind a bit of manly fluff chest! There is a real Old Skool feelin with alot the the mens tees...whether they are 70's, 80's or even 90's inspired they are hot either way....

We can't seem to keep our sunnies on the shelves at the moment as have a cool range of shades retailing for a bargain $29,95....this is great as you can buy a few different pairs to marry back with what threads you are wearing for the day...whether you need Retro, vintage,aviators, fluro, 80's etc

I guess your next step is to get yourself down the Ramjet to check it all out before it sells out!

Ramjet has finally landed!

Woohoo! Its only taken 4.5 yrs to get this website going but finally here it is........ Now you can access Ramjet info when ever it takes your fancy. You regular visitors to the store will notice we have had a store makeover to celebrate our 4 year birthday...Its not really possible to miss the "crazy eyes" wallpaper!

You will also notice that our label selection grows stronger and stronger. The shelves now boast over a choice of 30 labels. Ranging from a few more commercial srteetwear labels to some fabulous imported ones from London,LA, Brazil as well as some completely independent smaller labels. Check out our selection in the Labels list....
